Privacy Policy
In short
Flowboards reads your Trello board to render the flowchart. We don’t store card titles, member names, emails, or any personal data on our servers. The only things we keep are your board layout preferences (node positions, colors, tags) and subscription status. Your work stays in Trello.
This Privacy Policy describes how Parte OÜ ("we," "us," or "our") accesses data from Trello when you use the Service, what information we collect and retain on our systems, and how we use and share information in connection with your use of Flowboards (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the processing described in this policy.
1. Trello Data We Access
This section describes information we read from Trello through the Power-Up platform and APIs. Accessing Trello data to display and interact with your board is not the same as collecting or storing that data on our servers; Section 2 describes what we collect and retain.
When you open and use the Service as a Trello Power-Up, we access information from your Trello account and boards through Trello’s Power-Up platform and Trello APIs. We use this information in your browser and during your session to display the board as a flowchart-style canvas, to respond to your interactions, and to perform actions you request (for example, creating, moving, or updating cards when you choose to do so). Those operations send updates to Trello at your direction; they are not used by us as a separate form of data collection beyond what is needed to complete the action.
Depending on how you use the board, this may include temporarily accessing or processing data such as:
- Trello board identifiers
- List identifiers, list names, and list order
- Card identifiers, card names, positions, and which list a card belongs to
- Other card-related fields available from Trello, such as labels, dates, badges, covers, member or vote metadata, URLs, and attachment metadata, as needed to render the view or carry out your requested changes
- Member information exposed through the Power-Up context or APIs for authorization and administration
Much of this Trello information is processed transiently to show the board and handle your session; it is not necessarily copied to our servers as part of routine viewing. How Trello handles your underlying Trello data is governed by Atlassian’s terms and privacy policy, which apply in addition to this policy.
We do not store your Trello password or authentication credentials.
2. Information We Collect
This section describes categories of information we collect and retain in connection with the Service, including data stored on our systems or processed on our behalf by service providers (such as payment or form tools) as explained below.
Flowboards data we store
We store the following categories of information on our backend where needed to operate the Service:
- The Trello board identifier associated with your Flowboards data
- Trial, subscription, and access status for the board
- Where relevant, Lemon Squeezy subscription identifiers and related status information
- Saved visual layout data for the Flowboards canvas, including items such as node positions, viewport, shape settings, connector and edge settings, colors, styling, and references to Trello list and card identifiers as required for the layout to work
We do not intentionally store Trello card descriptions, comments, attachment contents, member names, or similar Trello-held content as part of saving the layout. Our storage is focused on Flowboards-specific layout and access information as described above.
User-created layout content
You may add your own text and labels on the canvas (for example on shapes, connectors, notes, or similar). That user-entered content is stored as part of the saved layout. If you type sensitive personal or confidential information into those fields, it will be stored with your layout data. Please avoid entering information there that you do not want retained on our systems.
Billing information
Payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy for information about how they handle payment data.
Waitlist signup data (Tally)
During prelaunch, we collect waitlist submissions through Tally forms. The submitted information may include your email address and any optional details you provide in the form.
We use this data to manage early access, send product updates, and communicate launch information. Tally processes this data on our behalf. Please refer to Tally’s privacy policy for details about their processing practices.
Usage data
We may collect basic usage data, such as feature usage patterns and error logs, to improve the Service. This data is not tied to individual Trello card or task content.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use Trello data as described in Section 1 and collected information as described in Section 2 to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Render your Trello board data in the visual canvas
- Save and load your board-specific visual layouts
- Manage subscriptions and trial access at the board level
- Communicate with you about the Service (support, billing, updates)
- Diagnose technical issues and improve reliability
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Lemon Squeezy — for payment processing and subscription management
- Infrastructure providers — for hosting and data storage (data is processed according to their respective privacy policies)
- Legal compliance — if required by law, regulation, or legal process
5. Data Retention
We retain your visual layout data as long as you have an active subscription or trial for a board. If a subscription expires and is not renewed, we may retain layout data for a reasonable period to allow reactivation, after which it may be deleted.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@flowboards.eu.
