1. Our Approach
We want you to feel confident purchasing Flowboards. If something is not right, we would rather work things out than leave you with a product you are not happy with. This policy explains when and how refunds are available, and what to expect throughout the process.
2. EU Cooling-Off Period (14-Day Right of Withdrawal)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of completing your subscription, without giving any reason. This is guaranteed under EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
How this works with our free trial:
Flowboards offers a 14-day free trial that requires no payment details. You only enter your payment information and complete a purchase at the end of the trial, if you choose to subscribe. This means:
- The 14-day withdrawal period begins on the date you complete your paid subscription — not when you started your free trial.
- By the time you pay, you will have already had full access to Flowboards for up to 14 days and will have been able to evaluate the product before any financial commitment.
To request a withdrawal within this period, contact us at support@flowboards.eu with your order details and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. Your subscription will be cancelled immediately upon processing.
3. Refund Requests Outside the Cooling-Off Period
For refund requests made after the 14-day window, we review them on a case-by-case basis. We are a small, independent product and we do our best to be fair.
Situations where we will typically issue a refund:
- The product had a significant technical issue that we were unable to resolve within a reasonable time.
- You were charged due to a billing error (e.g., duplicate charge).
- You were charged for a renewal after attempting to cancel in good faith and can demonstrate this.
We do not issue refunds for:
- A change of mind after the cooling-off period has expired.
- Partial billing periods (monthly or annual periods are billed as a whole).
- Failure to use the product — unused access time is not grounds for a refund.
- Violations of our Terms of Service or confirmed abuse of the refund process.
4. How to Request a Refund
All payments for Flowboards are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. This means Lemon Squeezy formally handles all refund execution, dispute resolution, and chargebacks on our behalf.
To request a refund:
- Email us at support@flowboards.eu with your order details (order number, email used at checkout, and the reason for your request).
- We will assess your request and, if approved, initiate the refund through Lemon Squeezy.
- Lemon Squeezy will process the refund to your original payment method.
Alternatively, if you purchased through Lemon Squeezy and want to raise a dispute directly, you may do so through their standard customer support process.
We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days.
5. What Happens to Your Access After a Refund
Once a refund is issued:
- Your Flowboards subscription will be cancelled immediately.
- Your access to Flowboards features will be revoked.
- Any data associated with your account may be retained temporarily in line with our Privacy Policy before being deleted.
We do not re-activate accounts that have been refunded. If you wish to use Flowboards again after a refund, you would need to start a new subscription.
6. Subscription Cancellations
Cancelling your subscription is not the same as requesting a refund. If you cancel:
- You will not be charged at the next renewal date.
- You retain access to Flowboards until the end of your current paid billing period.
- No partial refund is issued for the remaining days in that period.
To cancel, access the Lemon Squeezy customer portal using the link provided in your receipt email. If you cannot locate that link, contact us at support@flowboards.eu and we will assist you.
7. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please reach out to us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. We are responsive and happy to resolve issues directly. Chargebacks that are filed without prior contact may affect your ability to use Flowboards in the future.
8. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Estonia and applicable European Union regulations, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and other applicable consumer protection legislation.
